Today, I am delighted to introduce you to my new small business column at QCity Metro.com: Queen City Entrepreneurs! For those who don’t know, the Queen City is Charlotte, North Carolina, my adopted hometown.

About QCity Metro

Founded in 2008, QCity Metro is led by the former Deputy Managing Editor of the Charlotte Observer, our local newspaper. QCity Metro is among the nation’s first digital platforms created specifically for a local black audience.

Filling a Need

According to the US Census Bureau, the federal government issued a record 5.4 million business ID numbers in 2021. The need for entrepreneurial training, coaching, and mentorship has never been greater, and times have never been more exciting for small business owners. Opportunity is everywhere.

As a certified entrepreneur mentor journeying through my 22nd year of leading my business, the Indie Business Network, I am thrilled to expand my unique brand of national entrepreneurial training, coaching, and mentoring to my physical backyard.

My new column is delivered to your inbox on the last Sunday of the month, providing news and information useful to all entrepreneurs, and Charlotte area black entrepreneurs in particular. I’ll introduce you to inspiring local business owners and share their challenges and how they are meeting them, along with proven strategies that lead to success.
