By When I launched the Indie Business Network in 2000, I thought I was just starting a business. Little did I know that what I was really doing was leveraging a business to build a lifetime of incredible long-lasting relationships. One of them is with this lady, Jamila White, an intuitive consultant and psychic medium. But it didn’t start out that way.
Evolving: Business + Friendship
As our businesses have evolved, so has our friendship.
Two decades ago, when we first met, Jamila was working with small businesses to help them maximize their e-commerce success. She called herself the E-Commerce Diva, and she still is that to some extent. Soon after, she became one of the first members of the Indie Business Network when she launched a line of bath and body products, J.Blossom, with each label featuring inspirational messages for young girls.
Jamila has allowed herself to evolve, expand and discover new aspects of her personality that have created new adventures, new ways to help people, new income streams, and even new “hometowns.”
During the time I’ve known her, Jamila has lived in Maryland (where we met), Charleston, New Orleans, and a bunch of other places I don’t even know about.
We don’t see each other often, but when we do, we sit down and pick up right where we left off. It’s like no time has passed.
Oh! And she’s my Delta Sigma Theta sorority sister as well. 🐘🔺🔥
Don’t you just love it when your business is more than a business, but is also a tool that helps evolve your life?
I love how my business continues to pave the way for a wonderful life of joyful relationships and a legacy I can be proud of, and happy to continue all the days of my life.
